(7)        Since I left there I
(8) sent a letter to Mrs. Hamill
(9) when N. York. and I send the
(10) present also from this city.
(11) By the providential guidance I came
(12) to this city to attend the medical
(13) department of the University of
(14) Penn. and we began on monday
(15) last, I understand the lectures generally"
(16) but the special terms which are
(17) proper to the medical science, and
(18) these also, I can learn by reading
(19) only the text books.
(20) I am very anxious to hear about
(21) Mrs. Wood who was sick and Mr.
(22) Hamill. I hope he got back safely

(1) and is on his duty.
(2) I like to see you when you come
(3) here, will you please send me word
(4) beforehand that I may meet you
(5) there.
(6) Please give my compliment to
(7) Mrs. Miss and Mr. Hamills and
(8) to all in the family. and also to
(9) the members of the Y.M.C.A. there,
(10) for whom I do not foreget to men-
(11) tion in my prayers and I hope
(12) they also will not forget me.
