Outside 

We go outside to escape

Escape the confines of being inside

We walk on and on

Walking without care. 

But now we can’t, the very same outside that we have used to escape 

Has become a warzone.

With the allies fighting for justice 

And the police fighting for 

… well, what are they fighting for?

The police are the ones that have historically perpetrated violence against minorities and specifically blacks. So what do they fight for if they are the ones being fought?

The protestors are fighting for one reason,

Black lives.

They fight for the freedom of black people in america.

They fight for being black not to be a death sentence,

They fight to legalize being black in america.
